Oversight Board
The Oversight Board for the Brea Redevelopment Successor Agency consists of a total of seven representatives from the affected local taxing agencies: City of Brea, County of Orange, Orange County Department of Education, North Orange County Community College District, and Orange County Sanitation District.

The Oversight Board has a fiduciary responsibility to holders of obligations of the former Redevelopment Agency (RDA) and to the taxing entities that would benefit from the distribution of revenues generated by the liquidation of RDA assets. Assembly Bill ABX1 26 gives the Oversight Board authority over the former RDA’s financial affairs. Per the legislation, the Oversight Board exists for four years. All California Oversight Boards will be merged into one board for each county commencing on July 1, 2016.
