The Brea City Council and Parks, Recreation and Human Services Commission invite the community to join them for the Grand Opening of the entire 4-mile trail. All segments of the trail will be open with the event taking place on the segment 2 portion, located on the west side of Brea Blvd across from the Downtown Fire Station. Attendees are encouraged to park in the Downtown parking structure.
The portion of the trail, between State College Blvd and Birch Street, is completed and in its plant establishment period. The fence will remain in place for a few more weeks, and the segment is closed, even though actual construction is done. A date will soon be announced for the community to celebrate the completion of The Tracks, a 4-mile bike and pedestrian trail. Watch for the date and details.
Please keep in mind that even when the trail is open, plants will still be getting established for a few months so please be mindful of the landscaping.
Updates on the progress of each segment of the trail.
Brea’s “Tracks at Brea” project will consist of a four mile long multi-use trail that will traverse the City from east to west. When finished, it will carry a two-way paved bikeway and a separate pedestrian footpath providing an opportunity to make easy connections across town.
